Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the classic romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos and opera, and all dramatic performances. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started more intense vocal training with Flavio Belcerra at 16 when he was a renowned Mexican opera tenor. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was part of a variety of chamber and opera choirs. In 2000, she relocated into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes to inspire other people to follow in her footsteps.
