Ky-Mani was born on February 26, 1976, at Falmouth Jamaica. He is one of the wealthiest and popular Reggae artists. Shottas was an iconic film in which he appeared with another vocalist Wyclef. Ky-Mani recorded his first album, titled Like Father Like Son in 1996. The album was followed with Dear Dad", which reached number 1 on charts in the British chart of reggae. Ky-Mani collaborated with Praswell of Fugees to cover Electric Avenue by Eddy Grant. The song became a massive hit in 1997. Marley appeared at the Midem performance (an international music showcase) and was first performed in Miami. In the Cameo Theatre Marley performed a performance that was broadcast live by the Caribbean News Agency to 36 countries. Marley was a target in an auction war. He was signed to Gee Street/V2 Records in 1997, where he recorded a collaboration with label mate P.M. Dawn released the single"Gonna be" Movin' On Up.
