Elizabeth Gillies was born in New York City. She is an American performer and actress. She is popularly known as Lucy in the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious as well as Jade West for the musical 13. Her first job was in the field of advertising. The Black Donnellys (2007) was her debut appearance on TV. The character was Jade West from 2010-13 in the Nickelodeon show Victorious. In 2015-16 she was a major role in FX's comedy Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. Elizabeth Egan Gillies was born on the 26th of July 1993 in Haworth New Jersey and her family resides in the area. Gillies also has an older brother who was born in 1996. She is of partial Italian descent. Elizabeth Gillies was educated at Haworth Public School near her home. In 2010 she was nominated for the Critics Choice Movie Awards for the best young actress for her role in Sofia Coppola's Somewhere. She received the Spotlight Award by the Hollywood thriller Fest in the year 2011 for her leading role of the film Super 8. In 2011, she was the lead character in the comedy We Bought a Zoo (2012) as well as Ginger & Rosa (2013). In 2014 and 2019 she portrayed the princess Aurora part in Maleficent.
